About Medic-Edit
Medic-Edit is led by Juliette Siegfried, MPH, a medical editor, writer, and biomedical journalist with extensive experience working across clinical research, rare disease, and academic publishing.

About Me
After obtaining degrees in Biology and Public Health, I began my career at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland as a Health Communications Specialist in the 1990's. Because of my love of the Spanish language, in 2003, I moved to Madrid, Spain, and began teaching medical English to healthcare professionals in the city.
My students requested help with medical editing and translation of their biomedical research manuscripts, leading me to co-found ServingMed.com in 2005. Over the years, my work has evolved toward advanced medical editing, original medical writing, and biomedical journalism, while maintaining a strong foundation in editing translated medical and clinical documentation.
Today, I work independently with a select group of organizations and collaborators, providing senior-level editorial judgment, clear scientific reasoning, and dependable delivery. My background in public health, combined with long-term immersion in biomedical literature, allows me to quickly grasp complex material and identify what truly matters for a given audience—clinicians, researchers, or patients.
I currently collaborate with:
-
Global research and consulting organizations
-
Medical language service providers
-
Digital biomedical publications
-
Independent academic researchers, primarily in Europe
Medic-Edit was created to reflect this focused scope of work and to offer clients a clear, professional point of contact for high-level medical editing and writing.
